Waking Up in the Silence
There comes a moment in life when the noise fades, and all that remains is silence—the kind that forces you to face yourself. For me, that moment came like a slow unraveling, a curtain lifting on a stage I hadn’t realized I was performing on. I wasn’t living—I was just existing.
Every step, every decision, every dream had been borrowed, inherited from fleeting glimpses of other people’s lives. Learned behaviors from the world around me, a patchwork quilt stitched together by expectations and illusions. A life shaped by passing glances and scripted fantasies seen on TV, but never truly mine.
In the silence, I saw it clearly for the first time: the life I had been living was a smoke-and-mirrors act. A hollow illusion. And now, I had the chance—the choice—to rewrite my story.
This moment wasn’t about anyone else. It wasn’t about what others thought I should do or be. This moment was about me. Rediscovering myself as a woman. An empowered woman.
I asked myself the hardest questions I had ever faced:
What do I want from the life God has given me?
Why am I here?
What is my purpose?
For so long, I had been sleepwalking through life, following a path I hadn’t chosen. But now, my eyes were wide open. This wasn’t just about breaking free; it was about rising strong.
I had to rediscover who I was, piece by piece. To rebuild with intention. To find my strength not just in the noise of achievement but in the quiet grace of self-discovery. When I came out of this dream—this haze—I knew I needed to emerge stronger, bolder, and more certain of the woman I was meant to be.
I am a leader, a force, a woman who stands in her power. This is my journey of becoming her.
